Playa Offerings

TEMPLE DOME:

Our beautiful temple dome is a 30 foot structure with a mylar cover and a swamp cooler. This is the dome where all the private workshops are held, and is decorated with the 7 chakra altars, fabrics, and pillows, each beautifully unique and individually magical. The entrance to the temple dome is a chakra color filled monkey hut.

 

STAGE DOME:

Our stage dome is a 39 foot structure with a white parachute covering, stage, sound system, and is decorated with visionary art and chakra banners. This is where all the yoga classes, big presenters, live music, djs, and night time events will be located.

 

 

                               

THE “CHAKRALAND” GAME

The Chakraland game is a 24×30 foot vinyl flooring of a multicolored human sized game that participants play by rolling the giant dice and moving towards the different colored squares, each square representing a different chakra. The layout is similar to the child’s game “Candyland”. The squares will all have different quests written on them that need to be completed in a certain timeframe, or players have to go back to the previous square of the same color. There are some short cuts, wild pink squares, and black lose-a-turn squares. The winner makes it to the end of the colored path and gets loved up by the colorful game jesters.

  

 

CAMPERS YURT & SHADE CANOPY:

We have a 20 foot canvas & redwood yurt and white event shade canopy reserved for Chakralicious campers and their invited friends. The yurt is the heart and healing space of the camp, and is filled with spring time earthy decor and mattresses, while the canopy has chakra flags and lounge chairs available for relaxing in.

  

THE BOWER:

A bower is a private structure reserved for couples or groups in the camp to engage in sexual activity. Our bower is a 20 foot white dome filled with mattresses and red, pink, and orange decor. There are three signs to put in front of the bower, depending on it’s usage. They are “AVAILABLE-PLEASE COME IN”…” OCCUPIED-PLEASE COME IN” …”OCCUPIED-PLEASE COME BACK LATER”. The bower is available for Chakralicious campers and their invited friends only.

 

 

THE DINING HALL:

Our dining hall is a 39 foot dome with an enclosed parachute cover, a rainbow of sarees coming from the ceiling, lots of lighting, low round tables with campers’ pillows around them, couches and a small library. This is the area for Chakralicious campers to dine and relax in, perhaps read a book, play a game of chess, or stay out of a dust storm.

 

THE CAMPERS SHOWER:

For 2013, our shower setup will consist of a raised platform with a tubed drainage system. Every camper brings their own empty 5 gallon water container to the playa for when they take a shower. The container gets placed under the shower platform, and the hose dangling from under the platform is placed inside the mouth of your container. When you shower, the grey water goes into your individual container. Your name is written on your container when you check into the camp. Radical self reliance for all…yay!
